Soča river is one that with its distinctive green-blue color offers an unforgettable experience. In the upper flow the river has quick movement and is very picturesque  and therefore so popular among kayakers. Soča between  Otona and Kobarid is the most popular among experienced kayakers. Smooth and calm flow from Čezsoča to Srpenica and from Kobarid to Tolmin is suitable for beginners, families or kayak schools.   Fishing in Soča river and its tributaries is undoubtedly among the most beautiful in the world. Soča river is inhabited with mainly trout: marble trout, marble trout crossbreeds, brown trout, rainbow trout, river bull-head and from the confluence with the Lepena stream, grayling as well. Flyfishing is the only kind of fishing allowed and you are restricted to one fly only, tied to a single hook, no doubles or trebles are allowed.   In Soča Valley under the Julian Alps you can find a wide variety of hiking trails, from climbing ones up to the family routes or panoramic routes. Walking and discovering the beauties of the nature you can combine with discovering the monuments of the past. Routes in Soča Valley will lead you among waterfalls, river footbridges, remnants of the First World War, rare species, for example vulture with white head, which flies to us from the Adriatic Sea.
